What type of lawnmower is best?

Grass container or Mulching mower?
If you don't want to be raking up all the grass clippings after mowing then you generally have 2 choices, either a grass box which is attached to the back of the mower and collects all the grass clippings as you mow, or a mulching mower which recycles the grass clippings by cutting them into tiny pieces before leaving them on the lawn, this helps return the organic source of nitrogen to the soil as the clippings decompose.
Rotary Lawnmower vs Cylinder Lawnmower
There are 2 main types of lawnmower, the rotary and the cylinder, the rotary lawn mower is quicker at cutting the grass and is also very good at cutting long and wet grass. They are also much better at cutting through weeds than cylinder mowers. The advantage of using a cylinder lawnmower is that they produce a better cut and leave a better finish.
